Shop in Westbridge Road
Description
122 Westbridge Road, Battersea, from the junction with Althorpe Grove. The premises are occupied by Bill Webber, licensed betting office. Sparkford House, one of two point blocks on the Somerset Estate built in the 1960s by the London County Council, rises in the background. This building and its neighbours were later demolished to make way for new houses on the re-routed Sunbury Lane, part of the Althorpe Grove estate built in 1984 by the Greater London Council, to designs by architect Nicholas Wood.
