Description
Ground or basement room at 131 Westbridge Road, Battersea. Empty, with rubble and other detritus on the floor, a number of fuse boxes are visible on the wall, some marked 'out of order'. A bricked-up doorway is adjacent. Built in c1725-50, this building formed part of the Royal Laundry premises from c1938 until c1971. Disused at the time of this photograph, the building was saved from demolition and listed in 1981.
