Description
114-144 York Road, Battersea, looking north. A number of shops are visible, most prominently that of J. Armswood. Numbers 114-190 York Road were built in the mid-1820s as Ford's Buildings but the site has been redeveloped several times since. To the right of the picture is the works building of Masson, Scott and Company Limited, paper-making engineers. There are pedestrians on the pavement, and a handcart in the street.
