Businesses include from left to right a hardware shop at number 145, a vacant shop then J.A. Rose, a bicycle motor car and electrical spares shop with advertising signs for Castrol oil and Duckham's oil. A woman walks two dogs nearby. Next door at 151 is a newsagent with advertising signs for Walls ice-cream, the Hackney Gazette newspaper, Tizer fizzy drinks, Silk Cut cigarettes. All these buildings still exist.
