General view of 333-359 Bethnal Green Road looking west. Nearest is the White Hart public house on the right a Trumans establishment with Ben's hairdressers next door. Then a parade of shops from 333-357 some with awnings open. St James' the Great Church dominates the view. Spilling onto the pavement are market stalls selling vegetables. Awnings behind advertise smoke cured haddocks and a sausage shop. All these buildings still exist. the pub has been renamed the Star of Bethnal Green.
