Description
Front elevations of terraces in Alma Road (later Doric Road), Bethnal Green, showing number 42. An METB silk weavers sign can be seen. The buildings and Doric Road no longer exist; were eventually demolished and Cranbrook Estate was built where they had stood. Cranbrook Estate was opened in 1963. Doric Road used to run south of, and parallel to, Old Ford Road, close to Grand Union Canal.
