Title
Office building in Ludgate Hill
Description
A view of 7 Ludgate Broadway, City of London. The office building at the junction of Ludgate Broadway, Carter Lane and Black Friars Lane has an enamel plaque in the wall. This was placed by the City of London Corporation and reads "Site of the priory of the Blackfriars founded 1278". This has been retained in the new building which replaced the one in the photo. The photo has been taken from a road leading down to a bombsite used as a car park, which has subsequently been redeveloped as an office block.
