Title
Housing block in Nightingale Lane
Description
Front elevation of a low-rise residential housing block at 1-6 St Antonys Court, Balham, looking north. The new block replaced an older detached villa which was numbered 64 Nightingale Lane. In the centre of the picture is a gateway, identified on the brick gate posts as Harps Oak, beyond which was a road that lead to the back of 31 Sudbrooke Road to the north. The gateway is blocked by wooden fencing with a central doorway and was demolished in 2019. A half-timbered Morris Minor Traveller (registration RNK 604H) with a roof rack is parked in the street.
