Title
Tile yard in Nine Elms Lane
Description
Front elevation from the west of Nine Elms Lane brick tile yard, looking north-east. This is the western entrance to the yard of A.H. Lavers. Ltd. Bricks, Lime, Cement and Whiting works. Wooden slats allow the air to dry the clay building products in the whiting sheds. In the background is a square chimney on Mill Pond Bridge Wharf. In the cobbled main road tram tracks are visible. These buildings no longer exist and this is now the location of the Heathwall sewage pumping station of the Thames Tideway project.
