Title
Houses and public house on Auckland Road
Description
Taken from the junction with Abyssinia Road, Wandsworth, this view shows 19-37 Auckland Road. Built in c.1873, this terrace was worked on by prominent builder John Lane of Peckham, who was also responsible for The Invitation public house, just visible at the end of the terrace. These houses have four storeys, with bay frontages and distinctive gabled attic storeys. There are parked cars on both side of the road, front left a Wolseley 1100 and rear left a Rover SD1 and on the right hand side of the road at the front a Chrysler Alpine and Ford Granada Estate behind.
