Shop in Battersea Park Road
Description
222 Battersea Park Road is part of Don Nye's double-fronted cycle and motorcycle shop. This three storey terrace was built after 1871, and 222 is notable for its elaborate arched shop window showing goods inside, which contrasts with the modernised frontage of 224 next door. Also of note are the extensive painted advertisements across the top two storeys for Nye's business, and advertisement signs for Exide batteries and Castrol oil.
