Description
Terrace of derelict nineteenth-century properties at 169-173 Battersea Church Road. These properties were replaced by the Althorpe Grove estate in the late 1970s, designed by Nicholas Wood of the GLC Architecture Department's Housing Branch, and the location now comprises Wood's distinctive terrace of residential properties which include architectural features such as inverted arches under the windows and cast concrete portrait heads on the sides of the buildings.
