Title
Dovedale Cottages, Battersea Park Road
Description
Dovedale Cottages (originally Dovedale Place) were built in 1841 by Ann Maria Lightfoot of Balham Hill and her daughter Mary, for the relief of women in reduced circumstances (specifically those on the evangelical and orthodox wing of the Church of England). The property is characterised by its construction in white brick, Tudor style mullioned windows and heavy cement surrounds that have been painted to look like stone. The property was extended in the early 1970s and again in 1995.
