To the left of the pub can be seen theÿtwo-storey terraced houses of Stewart Road, and to the right, the terraces of Ascalon Street. Two London County Council housing blocks from the late 1930s can be seen in the distance; Seldon House on the left of the photograph and Tidemore House on the right. There are parked cars on Ascalon Street.
