Description
Taken from a pedestrian crossing outside the Park Tavern public house, this view looks down Thessaly Road in Nine Elms, with the A. Levet & Sons joinery works in the centre. In the distance can be seen Thessaly House, built by the London County Council from 1938 onwards and now the centre of the Savona Estate. A lorry loaded with barrels and an advertisement for Smarts Circus can be seen to the right of the photograph.
