Description
View of junction between Home Road and Battersea Park Road, Battersea, taken from Abercrombie Street. Commercial properties, including a public house on Battersea Park Road, with the houses of Home Road in the distance. Prominent in the foreground is a commercial property with a large painted advertisement for W.J. Copus, Tailor, Hosier Hatter and General Outfitter. Groups of pedestrians, including women with parasols and a group of children can be seen, and a horse and buggy is parked on Home Road. Street furniture in the form of lampposts, shutters and awnings can be seen. This part of Battersea Park Road was built in the 1880s and is part of the Pains' Estate.
