Description
Marble statue of Venus in Drapers' Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, City of London. A copy of John Gibson's Tinted Venus, purchased by Drapers' Hall in the 1890s. The statue is a full-length semi-nude in Classical style with drapery over left arm and holding an apple. On a plinth and in front of ceiling-high drapery in Drapers' Hall. The whole of the Drapers´ Hall complex was Grade II listed in 1972; listing number 1358902.
