Description
View from a right-angled bend in Tokenhouse Yard, City of London. Looking east towards 11 Tokenhouse Yard with the rear of Copthall Chambers visible behind. The front façade of 12 Tokenhouse Yard can be seen to the left of the image with an enclosed bridge spanning the alley at first-floor level, joining it to 10 Tokenhouse Yard. This bridge is no longer extant. 12 Tokenhouse Yard was designed by E. A. Gruning and built in 1872 as the headquarters of merchant bank Frederick Huth and Company. Between 1937 and 2003 it was the headquarters of investment banking firm, Cazenove and Company. It was Grade II listed in 1977; listing number 1358903.
