Description
View looking eastwards along Threadneedle Street towards Bishopsgate, City of London. The front façade of the Bank of Montreal, 43-47 Threadneedle Street, is in the foreground. Built in 1890 and commonly attributed to T. H. Smith, the building has a number of classical features, including eight Tuscan granite columns at street level. The bank's crest, to the left of the main entrance, includes a beaver standing on top of the coat of arms. The building was Grade II listed in 1977; listing number 1180569.
