Description
View from junction of Threadneedle Street and Old Broad Street, City of London. Looking south east towards Midland Bank Building, 5-6 Threadneedle Street situated on a corner plot at the north end of Finch Lane. This is a Classical-style four-storey building constructed in 1856 by W. Mosley and subsequently extended. It was Grade II listed in 1972; listing number 1079129. Part of the entrance to the Westminster Bank Overseas Branch at 52-53 Threadneedle Street can be seen to the left of the photograph with a small locked up news stand in the foreground ('Evening News on sale here').
