Buildings in Monument Street
Description
View of Dalmeny House at 24-26 Monument Street, City of London, on the corner of Pudding Lane. The elaborate arched entrance to Peninsular House at number 28 is partly in view on the far left of the image. Dalmeny House is the premises of Stanley Pibel Ltd, advertising poultry, game and eggs on the fascia along the building. Stacks of crates or building materials are visible through the window, and debris is strewn around on the corner. M. Janssen Co. Ltd occupies the lower ground floor of the building. Cars and vans are parked along the road. These buildings no longer exist, having been replaced by modern office blocks, including a new iteration of Peninsular House.
