Title
Interior of building in New Street
Description
A view of the ground-floor front room inside the Grade II listed late eighteenth century 5 New Street, City of London. The view looking away from the front door and front windows looks towards a twentieth-century 15 square paned door set within a Georgian arched door frame surmounted by a plain glass fanlight. Small wooden cornices are at the foot of the semi-circular fanlight surmounting the door frame. Skirting boards are at the foot of the un-painted walls. On the floor are dark wooden floor boards. A plastic box which is part of the telephone wiring can be seen by the door at the bottom of the wall. It is not known if the interior freatures survive.
