Title
House in New Street
Description
A view of the Georgian front door at the Grade II listed late eighteenth-century 5 New Street, City of London. The panelled door is framed by Corinthian columns and mounted by a fanlight window and triangular pediment. The door contains an unusual door knocker just below the letter box. Either side of the porch are sash windows with flower boxes under them. Also either side of the entrance are iron railings. The doorway still survives and has changed little with slight changes such as a new knocker in the top part of the door, the old knocker below the letter box as well as the letter box and the flower boxes having been removed.
