Description
View, looking west, of junction of Queen Victoria Street and Cannon Street, City of London. Busy with traffic, motor vehicles, horsedrawn carts (one for Barnett Joe carrier, contractor and potato salesman from Covent Garden); and omnibuses (one with an advertisement for Maples wallpaper). Behind is an open-topped cart with over a dozen men in flat caps being driven past Petter Oil Engines and other shops including Hope Brothers. All buildings later demolished and replaced by office blocks.
