Description
A view of the demolition site at 2-16 Ludgate Hill, City of London. A block of shops, banks and offices is being demolished by Valori Demolition. Scaffolding supports the remaining walls. This block was replaced by offices, which in turn were replaced by Juxon House in 1993. The scene is dominated by the west facade and dome of St Paul's Cathedral. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1675 and 1710, it was Grade I listed in 1950; listing number 1079157. A number of cars and commercial vehicles can be seen, including a Royal Mail delivery vehicle.
