View of Lower Thames Street
Description
A view east along Lower Thames Street, City of London, outside Billingsgate Market. A busy scene showing many vehicles heavily laden with boxes of seafood being taken to or from nearby Billingsgate Market. The photo is taken from outside New Fresh Wharf, with the church of St Magnus Martyr behind the tree on the right. The market building itself is slightly set back, further down the street on the right. On the left, the tower of the Coal Exchange can be seen, and the Tower of London is visible in the distance.
