Title
Buildings in Dukes Head Passage
Description
General view of Dukes Head Passage, City of London. The Hope Saloon Bar and Silver Grill is to the left, above the arch over the alley there is a sign for the New Ford and Co. Inn. Beneath the arch silhouetted is a crowd of men and one policeman all watching the photographer. Behind them is canvas backed lorry belonging to E. Spackman and Sons of 14 Bouverie Street, Fleet Street. The passage does not exist any more; it used to run east of old Paternoster Square to Ivy Lane, which is no longer extant either, both having been replaced by the current Paternoster Square devevelopment. The corner of White Hart Street and Rose Street is now on its site.
