View of Copthall Court and Drapers' Garden tower
Description
Copthall Court, City of London: looking north. Drapers' Garden tower in Throgmorton Avenue was a 30-storey skyscraper designed by Richard Seifert, built in 1967 and demolished in 2007; it was the tallest building to have ever been demolished in the UK. It was replaced in 2009 by the current 16-storey building. Copthall Court is no longer extant; it was an L-shaped street off Throgmorton Street; the part of it that still exists, running west to east, is now a part of Angel Court.
