Description
39-42 Cloth Fair, City of London, looking west. Front elevations of a row of shops, which include Mitchell Inman & Co. Ltd at number 40. Building number 41-42, with bay windows and top windows arranged in weatherboarded gables, is a seventeenth-century merchant's house. The building was restored in 1930 by Lord Mottistone as offices for the firm of Seely and Paget; the firm stayed here until 1976. In view is a street lamp attached to the side of the buildings.
