Description
View of Devonshire House, 136-140 Bishopsgate, City of London. It was the headquarters of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain from 1794 until 1925. By the 1920s the site had become unfit for purpose and the decision was made to move to a new site in Euston. The buildings were sold to the Northern Estates Company and demolished shortly after the Quakers vacated them in 1925.
