View of stone-faced, four-storey buildings in Birchin Lane in the City of London, looking south, along with buildings either side at 33 to 35 (seen in a derelict state, right) and 36 to 38 Cornhill. Occupants of the buildings include various banks and insurance brokers, and a smaller number of retailers. Vehicles visible in the lane include a Ford Cortina Mk III, and a Jaguar, behind a drop-sided lorry, along with pedestrians walking along the rain-soaked pavements. The Royal Bank of Scotland building at 60 to 62a Lombard Street, left in the distance at the end of the lane, left (since renamed 'Falcon House'), is Grade II listed, listing number 1193535. The second-floor link bridge, above Change Alley and the entrance to number 20, has since been removed, and the one-way street, pedestrianized.
