View of shops with offices above, at 1 and 2 Angel Court, City of London, looking south towards the backs of buildings on Throgmorton Street. The four-storey buildings are the offices of firms of stock and share brokers, investment bankers, public relations consultants, and accountants. Shops below include Alfred Lane, hairdressers, and Lacon and Ollier, theatre ticket agent, with Bradley's tobacconist on the far side of the entrance to the London Interstate Bank Limited. The front of the c1836 Grade II* listed, listing number 1079136 National Westminster Bank building (which includes the Lothbury Gallery) at number 12 , is visible, right and ahead, seen with a Yamaha FS1-E moped and a pile of scaffolding on the pavement. The one-way system of Throgmorton Street is visible through the accessway. The buildings at 1 to 8, left, have since been demolished and replaced by a four-storey mixed-use development and the 26-storey, Angel Court Tower.
