Austin Friars House was damaged beyond repair during World War II, and subsequently rebuilt in a similar style to the surrounding buildings with Gothic stone dressing, ornate pilasters with carved capitals, heavy cornicing, ashlar banding, rusticated panels, and high-arched, stone-mullioned, and ocular windows. Other buildings are mainly occupied by banking and investment companies, with the Grade II* listed, listing number 1358902 Drapers' Hall, built c1870 and now hosting events within its magnificent suite of state rooms, and grand hall.
