Description
Facsimile of Civitas Londinum (or the Woodcut Map of London) c1561 to 1570, previously attributed to Ralph Agas, the originator remains unknown. This image has been digitally stitched together from the eight separate panels, printed from the eight wooden blocks. The Royal Exchange opened in 1570 and was subsequently added. The Tudor arms were replaced by those of the House of Stuart, following the accession of James I.
