Satire alludes to the disastrous launching of the 'Great Eastern' ('Leviathan') ship which is seen covered in advertisements for amusements available on board. Two hot air balloons can be seen overhead. The ship was the largest in existence at the time and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
