Description
The yard had wooden huts used as offices and rehearsal spaces for the National Theatre in the 1960s and 1970s before it moved to the South Bank. A letter to The Times from Laurence Olivier gave the address as '10a Aquinas Street'. Actors involved at that time include Maggie Smith, Derek Jacobi, Peter O'Toole, Michael Gambon and Lynn Redgrave.
