Description
Lambeth Council took over the running of the home in 1965. They built a new building called South Vale, on the site of the former Wood Vale playing fields. Wood Vale closed in about 1968 and both Wood Vale and South Vale were later demolished, and the site has been replaced with a modern housing estate.
