Shops include Hotspur Grill, Star Grill, and Coral Bay Fishbar restaurants, a hair dressing salon, a local supermarket. The branch of National Westminster bank, on the far corner at numbers 793 to 793 was later converted to a public house named in chronological order, The Bank, The Pitch and Pint and finally, The Cockerel, which closed 2004 re-opening as a bookmakers shop, currently, a branch of William Hill. Earlier, nineteenth century buildings, next to the bank at numbers 797 and 799, are Grade II listed, listing number 1079209. The Bricklayers public house can be seen at number 803 to 805, further along. Vehicles in the street include an Austin Allegro police patrol car, and Ford, Capri Mark II, Escort third generation and Granada Mark I models.
