Warmington House
Description
View of Spurs Supporters Club (SSC) premises in Warmington House at 744 High Road, Tottenham, looking east. The late Georgian house was the former home of the cine camera manufacturer and inventor of the JAP motorcycle engine, John Alfred Prestwich, at the end of the nineteenth century before being converted to a restaurant between 1911 and 1923 and then sitting derelict for a number of decades. The Grade II listed building (listing number 1358833) was restored as part of the Tottenham Experience regeneration of White Hart Lane football ground, opening 2019. The football ground stands and car park are visible through the accessway and metal gates beneath the building on the right. Number 744A can be seen at the left of the picture with a wooden hut built at the side, probably, for the sale of match programs and other Spurs-related merchandise. A Rover P6 saloon and a Ford Zephyr 4 are parked in front at the road side.
