Description
View of a fleet of three London Routemaster buses, led by the number 279, in the southbound bus lane at a bus stop next to shops at 234 to 240 High Road, Tottenham, looking north. The two-storey shops with flats above on the right, include a funeral directors at 234, a tobacconists at 238 with premises with boarded-up windows between, where a male pedestrian can be seen walking past, away from the bus shelter. Vehicles travelling in the three-lane northbound carriageway include a Ford Transit, a Braham TV BMC J4 van, and a Hillman Hunter along with other vans and a flat bed truck. The war memorial on the apex of Tottenham Green can be seen in the distance along with more London double-decker buses. The shops have since been demolished and replaced by a Tesco superstore and the road widened, allowing cars and buses to flow in both directions.
