Description
View of 71 Hornsey High Street, also known as Manor House, Haringey. The building has three storeys, with three top windows projecting out of the roof. Several cars are parked in the small car park in front of the building and on the road outside. By 1910, this early-Victorian Manor House had ceased to be used as a private residence and had become the Hornsey YMCA until at least 1921. The premises was taken over by surgical instrument maker Brasse Ltd who occupied from 1923 until Hill & Son and Norman & Beard arrived in 1947. Organ makers Hill, Norman & Beard occupied the building until 1974.
