Title
Houses in St George Street
Description
View of the front elevations of terraced houses at 20 and 21 St George Street, West End. Both are houses of four storeys plus basement and three windows wide. The ground floor of number 20 bears signs for two tailors, Ranken & Co. and W. O. Lambert. The first floor has an ornate balcony with wrought-iron railings and overhanging hood. A portico on number 22 at the far right bears the name Ross. The buildings no longer exist and later developments occupy the sites. The location was marked as a clearance area in a map of World War Two bomb damage.
