Description
A general view north-westwards of 42-52 Berkeley Square, Westminster. They are terraced properties of different sizes and styles. To the right is the curving road and the Square's gardens. On the bottom left edge is the corner of Charles Street. Cars are parked outside the properties and along the edge of the gardens. These properties, originally built in the eighteenth century, have had famous inhabitants: Clive of India at Number 45 (1763-74), Earl Grey, and later Winston Churchill at number 48, and George Canning at number 50 (reputed to be the most haunted house in London). 44 is also the venue for The Clermont Club.
