Title
House in Upper Tooting Road
Description
View of the rear of Elmwood House on Upper Tooting Road, Upper Tooting, viewed from the grounds. The main house has two storeys, but the east elevation has an attic window in the gable. On the east elevation is a door with a porch roof supported by round pillars. There appear to be bell pushes either side of the door, with a large porch light above. The bricked-up windows on the first floor likely date back to the window tax in the eighteenth century. In the left corner of the house is a metal side gate giving access to the gardens to the south of the house. This house was demolished by 1920, and the area has since been redeveloped.
