Description
View of the Post Office Employment Bureau in Ashdown Road, Kingston-upon-Thames, on the corner of Weatfield Way. This opened as a purpose-built telephone exchange in 1908 and was subsequently also used as a mail sorting office. Parked outside is an Austin Mini Royal Mail van. The brick Arts and Crafts building was Grade II listed in 1992, listing number 1080059. The building is no longer occupied by the Royal Mail and is currently part of a larger redevelopment site.
