Description
View of the entrance block to Coombe Hill Stables, Beverley Lane, Kingston-upon-Thames. Built in 1863 by George Devey, these were formerly part of the stables to Coombe Cottage, also built by Devey in the same year. The stables were used by a riding school in 1969 when the photograph was taken. They were Grade II listed in 1983, listing number 1080091. The entrance block has prominent tall brick chimneys, and parked outside are several cars, including two Jaguars. The stables, including the entrance block were converted into private housing in 1988.
