Description
Front elevation of 1 Peek Crescent, Wimbledon, a detached house dating from the 1950s. A small saloon car, possibly an Austin, is parked in the drive. In 2013 planning permission and conservation area consent was granted for demolition and a larger detached building now stands on the site. Peek Crescent takes its name from Sir Henry Peek who was the last resident of Wimbledon House, a large estate on Parkside, Wimbledon. The Peek family owned the Peek Freans biscuit business.
