Before the 1893 renumbering, this was deemed as two properties, Vine House and Vine Cottage. With the second renumbering in 1936 Vine House became 11 The Vineyard and Vine Cottage became 13 The Vineyard. The 1871 census, John Leing, gardener, his wife, grandson and two lodgers although it is unclear whether they occupied number 11 or 13. 1874 census, George W Heasler. 1881 census, George Heasler, employer of 34 men, his wife, two children and a servant. 1891 census, James Henry, living on his own means, his wife, niece, servant and a retired couple as borders. 1911 census, Jessie Hensley, lady resident, three borders and one servant. The 1910-1915 Valuation Office lists Miss Trevor as the occupier and Clerk to Trustees of Michel’s Charity as owner. Vine House has a Grade II Listing, listing number 1253026.
