Spring Grove in Upper Sunbury Road
Description
Corner elevation of a large detached house, Spring Grove in Upper Sunbury Road, Hampton, on the corner with Plevna Road. Spring Grove was built on Conduit Close on the site of the spring and conduit house which had served Hampton Court Palace from Henry VIII's reign until the mid-seventeenth century. The two-storey brick-built house which replaced Conduit House was built in the 1760s. Spring Grove was demolished in 1981 and replaced by a cul-de-sac of modern housing.
