Description
Sydney Road is an estate of late-Victorian houses off Church Road in the Sheen Road conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames. This view shows the frontage of numbers 26-27, two of a terrace of four-three-storey houses on the west side of the road, the outer pair having entrances and windows facing to the sides. Number 26 seems little altered today, including its paved car port and the slightly distorted brickwork beneath its second floor window. A Renault 4 is shown parked in front of the ground floor window. Number 27 now has an additional storey added to the side entrance extension shown to the left of view. Its front garden and boundary wall have also been relandscaped and the wall reprofiled with the addition of iron railings.
